Black Specks

in Sanitation Stories

I was once at a fast food restaurant getting lunch. I noticed they dropped a whole bunch of fries on the floor, but I didn’t think twice about it. Well, when I got home, I noticed the fries had black specks on them and were dirty. To make a long story short, I ended up going to another restaurant to get some healthier and cleaner food.

First of all if you’re eating in a fast food restaurant your food isn’t healthy to begin with. The black specks were probably nothing more then specs of burnt food from the dirty grease used to fry your french fries. Of course the black specks could have been fly sh**.

Alas, I don’t think it was burnt food. It had a weird odor to it. Thanks again Gregg for posting this!

Plus, you can expect a fast-food resteraunt to do this to save a couple of bucks.

Old fryer oil gets like that when it's due to be changed to fresh stuff. They did not serve you the fries from the floor, I guarantee if they had there wouldn't be obvious black specks on them, that's not how the floors are dirtied at fast food places. Thickened grease and a butt load of salt would be on the floor dropped fries.
