Cursed At For Cutting In Line

in Diner Stories

I was visiting my family in Wichita, KS, and right before I was to fly out, we went to a well-known local fast food chain restaurant. We were standing and looking at the menu, when a large man came in with an elderly man and disabled child. They were standing somewhat closer to the counter, off to the side. My family and I moved up to the counter to place our order. That’s when it started…

Two minutes after we placed our order, the large man looked at my father and said something about being inconsiderate. My father politely said, “Excuse me?” The large man began screaming and cursing at my father. According to him, we cut in line. I smiled and calmly explained he and his group were looking at the menu and not standing in line. “F*** YOU,” he shot back. I told him if he were closer to the counter (he was a good 4 feet back) we would have assumed he was already in line. Is it really that big of a deal?

I felt so sorry for the people with him. I’m not sure if they were family or if he was doing some kind of service, but those people did not deserve to be with an ignorant jerk like that.

Next time order from your car using the drive-up window. It's much nicer then standing in line, carrying your food on a tray, and eating at a dirty table.

Your not a nice person, posting a reply like that. I would have yelled back at the fat man and maybe slapped the elderly man or the disabled kid and then ran. Hopefully I could outrun the fat man because I have long greasy hair and if he got close he could grab it and stop me and most likely beat me up like I was a ragdoll.

Well it seems some ninny thinks it's funny to impersonate me. This is no doubt the same idiot that has done the same to others earlier. To this unsavory character you only made me laugh both at you're silly and pointless message and at you. You can stop impersonating us thanks.

Ok seriously Peace Lover…I'm not a grammar/spelling aficionado or anything, but every single time I've read you try to say "your", you actually say "you are". I know you're aware of it at this point, so why do you continue to purposely make yourself look stupid? Your impossibly pacifistic viewpoints do that for you Without needless spelling errors.

I'm sorry, but I always ask if there's someone ahead of me who might just be looking at the menu. It's not that hard to ask "Are you waiting in line?"
