So I work as a server in south Florida where it’s about 90 degrees all the time and the humidity makes it so much worse. And of course we wear all black.
Well it blows my mind when people want to sit on the patio and complain about how hot it is, and then ask to get all the fans pointed at them like they are the only ones sitting outside. And the best part I love is when they ask to use the fan that’s cooling off the servers who are running your drinks, food and whatever else you request.
Don’t be that greedy person. Sit inside if it’s too hot. People should consider the servers. We don’t choose to work outside; we HAVE to. It’s our JOB.
So if you sit outside just remember that you’re choosing to sit there, no one is making you sit outside like they are making us work outside. And if you want to sit outside, don’t be that asshole who takes the only source of cooling off from us servers. How would you feel? How would you react?

I've actually had a table ask me if I could "do anything about this sun".
When you applied for this job did you realize the restaurant had a patio for outdoor dining?Sounds like you really don't like being a server or working in the food service industry. I suggest you apply for an office job where you probably would complain that the A/C is blowing directly on your desk and giving you a headache.
He/she isn't saying that she doesn't like to work there, only that it is hot. Besides that the story above is about guests who asks for unresonable things, like they are the only table that matters. Ofcourse the guest is a king, unless he drmands stupid things.
You mean you can't? Seriously? Just turn it down some. 😉
