I went to a Thai restaurant and ordered Panang Curry with white rice and chicken. What I was served was not chicken. It was slimy, gray, and very chewy. I’m pretty sure I was served rat. I ate one bite and spit it up. I was too embarrassed to tell the waitress what I thought, so I asked for a to-go box and told her I had to leave for an emergency. I was sick for the next two days!

I call bullshit on this story. It's a lot easier to find chicken to cook than to find a rat. The meal might have been rubbish but I can't believe you were served rat.
@Substantial: I totally agree with you, but a lot of people will believe the story since a lot of people think that Asian restaurants serve cats and dogs..
While I do agree the meal was likely simply poorly made chicken or made even chicken past it's prime. Some cultures do, in their home countries, eat an assortment of other animals we in North America would never consume. That is simply a matter of culture, for instance in Cambodia they sell fried Tarantula as a street food.
And guinea pigs
Why were you sick for two days if you didn't eat the meal?
Maybe it was the placebo effect (look it up) that caused the sickness
