I once totally humiliated myself after eating out at a local Italian restaurant. At the time I had only been there a few times but the food was great. I ate a mouth watering spaghetti with sauce that went flying everywhere as I sucked the spaghetti up. It was only when I got home and looked at myself in the mirror that I froze in horror. There were these big red stains around my mouth from the sauce that I had forgotten to wipe off. I looked just like the Joker from The Dark Knight. And just to add insult to injury, I had been walking through town for quite some time with my big red smile for all to see. I was sure some people we’re looking at me funny. Total humiliation!

Sorry for you’re embarrassment but I was laughing out loud. I love Italian cuisine myself and sometimes the food does make big messes.
Were you raised in a barn? Didn't your mother teach you to use a napkin? Everyone can miss a little spot on their chin or lips, but to have your face covered and not notice it! WOW!
Do you eat out often?
Going by your statement that the sauce was flying everywhere, why wouldn't you assume that at least some of the sauce landed on your face?
As Jack said, I can see missing a small amount of sauce, but if there was as much as you state in your story, how could you not know?
Fake story. But funny!
I'm sure some of these stories have at least a thread of truth to them, but some are such obvious hoaxes. This one is just downright silly.
